Easy Collaged Handmade Paper

Hi, Everyone,
Today I would like to share with you a fun easy way to make Handmade paper.

You need to dig in your stash & find those beautiful paper napkins, fibers & ephemera you have been saving for that special project.  Then you need any inexpensive white liquid Scotch glue & some wax paper.

1.  Tear off a 2 foot piece of wax paper to use as your base to line an old cookie sheet.
(The wax paper will be peeled off at the end & the cookie sheet makes it easy to move your project while it is wet.)
2.  Split the napkins so you are only working with the 1st top layer of the napkin, and discard the other layers.
3.  Tear your ephemera pieces into smaller images.
4.  Cut your fibers into 1 foot lengths.
5.  Leaving an inch of wax paper as a boarder & working in 4 inch sections at a time . . . apply a generous layer of white Scotch glue & spread it around with a plastic scraper.
(You will have 3 thin layers: glue, napkins & ephemera, & glue.  The glue will dry clear to reveal your beautiful collaged handmade paper.)
6.  Begin layering napkin sections, ephemera pieces, & fibers into the Scotch glue overlapping pieces as you go.
7.  Continue working in 4 inch sections until the wax paper is covered.
8.  Move your cookie sheet to a safe place to dry overnight.

Now you have a unique sheet of Collaged Handmade Paper to use in your next project . . . or to frame because it is so beautiful!
Enjoy.

Barn Board Frame Shadow Box

Hi, Everyone,
I thought I would share with you this old Barn Board Frame I transformed into this wonderful piece of Art.  It was an old tiny window long ago which allowed me the depth needed to create this Shadow Box.

The Jenny Bowlin product line of papers, rub-ons, buttons, journalling cards & prize ribbons were a perfect match with the vintage doily, chocolate mold & bottle.  You will notice that I tend to use packaging in my work quite frequently, because some of it is far too beautiful to throw out.  Some of my "adopted" family members now have a place of honor.

Layout or Canvas?

. . . you decide.

I created this 12x12" layout using Graphic45 Playtime papers, cutting out bracket shapes for interest.
Then it's all about layering - tags, alphas, metal bear, ruler twill tape, bing card, metal hart & voila . . .
a beautiful art piece.

I temporarily mounted the art work on foam core with sticky dots.  This allows me to hang or display my projects for a while then remove it from the foam core & place it in a sheet protector in an album once another layout is worthy of display.  I love the notebook coil punch & seem to use it quite a lot.

G45 ABC Primer Mini-Album

Hi, Everyone,

Well, September means School for a lot of people so here is the Graphic45 ABC Primer Mini-Album I created.

There is a page for Kindergarten to Grade 6 with a front pocket, top pocket, & side pocket on each page so you can include various photos of your little one as he or she grows.

The tiny pencil charm & ruler ribbon make fun book jewellery!
